Natalie Says My son got diagnosed aged 7, with high fuctioning autism. He was quickly potty trained but didnt walk til he was 16 month. He struggled at school since starting. There were signs right though his toddler stage things like not liking bday parties, going in crowded places and covering his ears. The docs were quicj enough to ogfer a medication to help with concentration. We started him on equasym. He instantky went into zombie mode nd wasnt putting weight on. I asked what the long term side effects were but they were unknown. I started looking into natural supplements. We tried allsorts til march this year when I gave him jp jellies alongside his meds. In two month he started to eat healthier as he was more aware of his health and weight. He slept better and his behaviour got better. At easter time he came home with a letter from school saying he had made 13 months progress in reading in only five weeks. Teachers have said his concentration was alot better so I took the drastic measure and took him off meds. I would empty the capsules into the bin and he would be non the wiser. 14 weeks on and a new term he Is still of the meds. Hes doing really well at school. Hes calmer and he is now happy in his own skin . putting him on equasym was tge worst thing I did. Explore every avenue before jumping into meds. I have my son back x
