Nathan and I (and my Dad when he came) have been consistently amazed at the healthcare in Colorado. These doctors and nurses have the BEST attitudes we have ever seen. Our own pediatrician at home is equally fantastic. However, the medical system in New Mexico overall does not hold a candle to EVERY healthcare employee we have met here. They all, desperately, want answers for our girl. When Nathan and I went to the OR with Alorah the anesthesiologist from the day before whom was off because she worked noc yesterday, text the anesthesiologist who took over her case asking how Alorah was doing. This amazing woman took time out of HER day when she was off to check in on our daughter. That is the constant care she gets here. No one has ever belittled, devalued, or blown us off. Unfortunately we have dealt with all of the above in Albuquerque. Alorahs Pulmonologists PA had her sobbing after her respiratory distress because she was so insensitive to what Alorah had been through. She also tried to blame the distress on anxiety. We havent gone much into detail when it concerns her medical care in Albuquerque and its bad because we honestly focus on the good-she IS alive afterall-and we use our energy to keep fighting to keep bringing her up here. We know, and love, several nurses and doctors back home but the care here is, simply, unparalleled. Childrens Colorado- our most heartfelt thanks is completely inadequate to describe how much we love you.
