National Forecast from Met Éireann. 18 September 2013 05:08 Today Fresh and rather breezy today, with a mixture of cloudy periods and occasional sunny spells. A few scattered showers, but most places dry. Moderate to fresh northwesterly winds, will ease later this afternoon. Top temperatures 12 to 15 C. Tonight Dry early tonight with some clear spells. But wet and windy weather will spread in from the Atlantic later. Lowest temperatures 6 to 9 C. Tomorrow Thursday will be a windy day, with strong and gusty west to northwesterly winds. Early heavy rain, will soon give way to bright or sunny spells and scattered showers. Top afternoon temperatures of 14 to 17 C. Outlook Thursday night will mainly dry, with occasional clear spells. Any showers will be well scattered and mainly in the northwest and north of the country. Lowest temperatures 5 to 9 C. Friday will be a bright, mainly dry day, with a mixture of sunny spells and occasional cloudy periods. Top temperatures of 14 to 18 C., in a moderate to fresh southwesterly breeze. Breezy and mild overnight with lowest temperatures of 7 to 11 C. Many places dry, but some patches of mist and drizzle may affect some Atlantic coasts. Saturday will be close and humid, with moderate to fresh southerly winds. All areas are likely to have some patches of rain, drizzle and fog early on. But these should become largely confined to Atlantic coastal areas by afternoon. A lot of dry weather elsewhere, with occasional sunny breaks developing in places. Top temperatures of 16 to 19 C. Sunday will also be a mild, close day, with temperatures in the mid to high teens. Atlantic coastal areas will still be under risk of getting some patches of drizzle and fog. But the bulk of the country should be dry, with a mixture of sunny spells and cloudy periods. Moderate southerly breezes will be fresh along the Atlantic Seaboard. The trend for early next week is for mainly dry, warm weather, by day, with sunny spells at times most days. Temperatures should be in the high teens and occasionally 20 or 21 C.
