National Forecast from Met Éireann. 24 June 2013 04:54 Today It will be dry for much of the country today, however there will be some showers and drizzle affecting northern parts and also some light rain or drizzle will develop in the southwest. There will be a mix of sunny spells and cloudier intervals. Temperatures will range from 14 to 17 degrees in light to moderate westerly winds. Tonight Tonight a band of light rain will begin to spread northeastwards from the southwest of the country. Rainfall amounts will be small and some eastern parts will stay dry. There will be some clear skies in northern and eastern areas and temperatures will range from 8 to 12 degrees. Tomorrow The band of rain will continue to spread east on Tuesday, but brighter and drier weather will develop in the west during the early afternoon. This clearance will extend to all areas during the rest of the afternoon and into the evening. A milder day with highs of 15 to 19 degrees in light to moderate northwest winds. Outlook Tuesday night: will be a largely dry night, although a few showers will affect parts of the northeast coast. It will be a little chilly with clear skies and temperatures will fall to between 6 and 9 degrees in light wind. High pressure will cover the country on Wednesday and will give mainly dry conditions with some pleasant spells of sunshine. Highest temperatures will range from 15 to 19 degrees in light northwest winds. It will cloud over on Wednesday night as outbreaks of rain move into the northwest. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees. On Thursday outbreaks of rain will spread eastwards across the country during the morning and afternoon. Highs of 15 to 18 degrees in moderate westerly winds. The rain will clear to the east on Thursday night, but another band of rain looks like moving into the west coast. On Friday there will be light outbreaks of rain during the day, with some brief sunny spells. It will be a little milder on Friday with highs of 17 to 20 degrees. Present indications suggest that the dry and settled conditions will persist into next weekend, with temperatures in the high teens or the low twenties.
