National Forecast from Met Éireann. 27 August 2013 05:13 Today Cloudy and misty in many areas this morning, with patches of light rain, drizzle and fog. Becoming mainly dry during the day, with some bright or short sunny spells developing, but predominantly cloudy, with a few patches of drizzle. Sunny or clear spells in many areas this evening. Maximum temperatures 17 to 20 Celsius, with light winds, becoming northwesterly or variable. Tonight Tonight will be mainly dry, with variable cloud cover. Misty in places, with fog patches and perhaps a little patchy drizzle also. Minimum temperatures 7 to 11 Celsius, with light northerly or variable breezes. Tomorrow Tomorrow, Wednesday, will be mainly dry, with bright or sunny spells developing, especially in the east and southeast, but cloudy spells also and rain and drizzle will return to west and northwest coasts by nightfall. Maximum temperatures 16 to 20 Celsius, warmest in the south and east. Outlook Headline : Overall, a good deal of dry weather for the rest of the week, but with some rain and drizzle at times. Mild at first, but turning cooler over the weekend. Wednesday night :Rain and drizzle will spread from the west and northwest, with hill and coastal fog. Min. 10 to 12 Celsius, with moderate southwesterly winds. Thursday : Rain and drizzle in places at first, but becoming brighter and mainly dry, with sunny spells developing, but a few scattered showers may occur also. Max. 16 to 20 Celsius, in a moderate westerly breeze. Friday : Mostly cloudy, with outbreaks of rain and moderate to fresh southwesterly winds. Clearer weather, with scattered showers, will extend from the west and northwest later and winds will veer west to northwest in direction - remaining quite breezy. Max. 16 to 2o Celsius. Weekend : Cooler with temperatures of 15 to 18 Celsius. Many areas dry, but a few showers possible, especially on Saturday in the west and north, with a possibility of rain and drizzle spreading from the Atlantic later Sunday. Winds mostly moderate, west to northwest, backing west to southwest. Further outlook : Early indications suggest that next week will be changeable and more unsettled.
