National ID registration now possible at your workplace With the August 11 deadline for National ID registration coming closer, Paul Bukenya, the project assistant communications manager says it is now possible for people to register at their workplaces. In addition, government has introduced mobile registration points in parishes, project officials have also allowed people to register from any nearby points. This is a departure from the practice when the exercise started in April, when people were only allowed to register from their residential parishes. Fast-tracking the identity card enrolment exercise is meant to avoid eating into the national census which starts on August 28. In September, ID registration will resume, this time round, at the sub-county and division headquarters. That phase will run up to February, next year.
