National Poetry Month 1/30 Sometimes Some Times Sometimes, Some Times is too much And sometimes Some Times come too often Outweighing the brevity of the good times Lost in the murky and mired landscape Shadowed by the doubts of today And Some Times we dredge through the deep Searching for yesterday Aimlessly, blurred vision Focusing through the prism of fallen rain drops Head down buried in the sludge of despair And Sometimes Some Times last so long That this head down hunched back curved spine Becomes our norm As atrophy attributes to our stolen stature Posture broken by the weight of woe Crushed along the horizon Of the lost time of today Until sometimes Some Times last forever Or we learn to let yesterday’s good time go Into the journey of forever And become a distant memory And muscle through the tautness And erect through life’s storm Reach and scratch the sky Let the sunshine bleed through And light rays rain down Allowing today become tomorrow Giving way to a new day Because sometimes we choose Some Times
