National sovereignty, socialism, secularism, democracy, absolute human equality, multiculturalism, scientific temper, humanism and environmental protection are the core principles of modern India as reflected in the Constitution. Today when we confirm our choice of candidates to vote for, we may not find the right candidates who ably uphold these values…that’s our bad luck…But at the same time we need to be careful about not inviting an irreversible tyrannical disaster on ourselves, our nation, by choosing even by error the political formation that stands against the national values- those who condemn the constitutional principles and even the national tricolor, whose ideology had befallen the Mahatma. Germans are still gravely repenting the act of electing a dictator several decades ago… Lets strive to keep fascism out of India, today and every day.
