Nature Awareness 3/22/2014 - Kudu Kudus are colored to blend in and are not the most social animals on the planet. Males might band together briefly but will often disperse from one another as soon as possible, and the males only team up with females briefly during a quick mating season. Living a more solitary lifestyle allows the kudu the ability to blend into brush quickly and to escape predators on fleet feet if needs be. People working with kudu energy or those who have kudu as one of their totems are capable of making terrific progress in a short period of time through the speedy energy of the animal and the great leaps that it is known for. However, all people working with kudu tend to do better on solo projects and assignments and will not make the same progress if manacled to a large group or team. Dominance between kudu males is often settled peacefully with a brief comparison where they will size each other up, determine who is the largest, and then the largest male is allowed to become the dominant party in the situation. And, dominance does lead to its perks. For kudu people peaceful persuasion is a gift, and they can use it to establish their own dominance. Kudu people always own their own space... and can blend into it for perfect camouflage in a flash if they need to. If you sense the kudu has run into your life today to guide you, then hear this message... Be silent in your moves and quick about them. Do not fear anyone for in a moment you can become invisible to your predators while still accomplishing your goals. Symbolism: speed, great leaps, protection, camouflage, dominance, solitary endeavors.
