Nature, I must share, is such a testament to how great our God is & how marvelous heaven must be! ...Through the simplicity of spending a weekend camping, my spirit was humbled and Im ever so grateful! In this digital age we live in, we have become immersed in man made technologies. Although they provide conveniences & ways to simplify in their own right, we lose sight of our own purpose in life & all the great things surrounding us. All too often, have we find ourselves seeking out answers to great life questions, some trivial, on Google or some other smart technological source. Guilty am I! But this year-2014, this summer, and especially after this trip, I have come to peace being reminded through all the simple beauty in nature that we inherited that seeking answers is far less important than I once believed. By being able to appreciate the glimpse of stars overhead at night that were here 10, 000 years before us, or the beauty from the sun swooning over the trees while spreading a pure white illumination behind the clouds, or the just the awe & wonder at all the natural monuments surrounding us, there one can find peace. I dont need answers or explanations for all the misfortunes, frustrations or wonders anymore. Observing his great hand at work, seeing as everything already in existence, from the clear waters & skies to the green jay and locust, all pieces of nature have a distinct purpose! All I can say about my own purpose in life is that I sure hope I suffice at fulfilling whatever the purpose intended for my short existence on this earth. The diamonds, fancy things, are of no comparison to finding a place in Gods greater kingdom. If this is what God has allowed us to inherit, knowing that at our best we may take 5 steps forward in his plan & 10 back, and yet still forgive our sinful nature. Then I can only imagine how restoring to the soul this grand place heaven must be! I challenge those of you needing to find peace, to just drive to a place away from city lights at night, or step outside in the comfort of your backyard tonight. Set aside all thoughts, worries, and frustrations. Take a moment to just glimpse up above at the stars & inhale that moment in its purest form. In that beauty, I hope you too will find a peace & comfort to your heart as you simply appreciate the greatness all around. Google can provide answers but I promise it cant provide peace like Gods wide open arms just waiting for you! I know Im not perfect & certainly realize I have many areas in my life that I need to clean up. But thankful for a humbled spirit & Gods grace to help me as I stumble my way through life.
