Nawakwi says PF Budget Has Collapsed Forum for Democracy and Development, FDD, president Edith Nawakwi says the Patriotic Front budget has collapsed as none of the key sectors were moving. Nawakwi said the wrangles in the ruling party had frozen out funding to key sectors as there was no order in the governance system. She said the PF had shown that they were incapable of holding the country together after the death of President Michael Sata. Nawakwi also said her party had gone into campaign mode and was reaching out to the voters preaching a female president. “Right now the PF budget has completely collapsed and there is nothing happening. Look at what is happening at the University of Zambia, the students have not been paid their allowances and the farmers have not been paid their money for the supply of maize to the Food Reserve Agency,” he said. “The infighting has taken centre stage and no one is running things now because all they are concerned about is political power.” Nawakwi said time for a credible female candidate had come. Recently some Patriotic Front Members of Parliament threatened not to approve the budget of their then preferred presidential candidate Edgar Lungu was not adopted as the ruling party’s candidate. Ten candidates have filed nominations for the PF presidency who are Dr Christine Kaseba, Mulenga Sata, Geoffrey Mwamba, Edgar Lungu, Miles Sampa, Captain Selemani Banda, Wilbur Simuusa, Given Lubinda and Chishimba Kambwili. zambiareports/2014/11/20/nawakwi-says-pf-budget-collapsed/
