Nayirah, also known as “Nurse Nayirah” in the media, was a girl that gave a false testimony to the US congress on October 10, 1990. She claimed that after the Iraqis invaded Kuwait she had witnessed how soldiers from the Iraqi army took babies out of their incubators in a Kuwaiti hospital and killed them. This testimony was used by the USA government in their rationale to support Kuwait in the Gulf war. Later, in 1992, it was revealed that Nayriah last name is al-Ṣabaḥ and she was the daughter of the Kuwaiti ambassador in the USA. Her testimony was proven to be false and was regarded as a wartime propaganda and a part of an organized PR campaign in support of Kuwait. Now what about Malala.... Just giving it a thought!!
