Near Drowning update: Public Accident Sioux Falls, South Dakota: On June 15, 2014 at approximately 5:05 pm, Officers were dispatched to Spencer Park, 3501 S. Cliff Ave, for a report of a possible drowning. An investigation disclosed that a 5 year old child was playing in the flood waters at the park when the child stepped off of a drop-off in the middle of the temporary pond and became completely submerged. The child was pulled from the water and CPR was immediately initiated by a citizen. Upon police arrival, the child was alert and crying. The child was transported to the hospital via ambulance and is in stable condition.
