Near the park where I walk, I saw a little teddy bear in the road. I picked him up and sat him up under a nearby tree. I felt kinda goofy, but thought just in case it was a little kids bear and the family came back for it, it would be there. The bear was still under the tree for the next two days, but then, on the third day, there was a little stuffed monkey next to him, and the following day, there was a small plastic parrot with them. I loved the idea that total strangers just made this cute little thing happen. I went back a week later and they were all gone, but I like to imagine it grew and grew to be several friends and the family came back and adopted them all.
