Nearly 33 percent of children under five are underweight, 46 percent stunted, 18 percent wasted, 33 percent have iron deficiency anaemia and 36 percent have zinc deficiency in rural Pakistan during the survey year 2011. About 3 percent of the mothers had iodine deficiency with visible signs of goitre, while almost 21 percent mothers have iron deficiency anaemia.
