Nearly a century of service! Bloomingtons Union Station served - TopicsExpress

Nearly a century of service! Bloomingtons Union Station served rail passengers from early in the Twentieth Century into the early 1990s, nestled between West Washington and Front Streets. Heartbreak Bridge, carrying traffic above the tracks to the upstairs depot entrance, also served as the spot to wave goodbye and, sadly less often, to wave welcome home to service men and women during two world wars, Korea, and Vietnam. These have been posted before; I like them together (Steve Smedleys winter shot is from 1987).
