Nearly finished the Engagement Ring I was working on. It needs some finessing, (leaf detail, etc), so Ill spend tomorrow morning on it. The first picture is of the bits and pieces that went into the ring. I created a bezel in Fine Silver and soldered it to a loop of square wire. I forged the shank to attach at opposite sides of the bezel to support the leaves. All this was soldered together using high melting point solder. The leaves were soldered to wires and then assembled by hand as symmetrically as poss using three different temps of solder to avoid all previous work falling apart. I took the picture outside and its not brilliant but it gives you an idea of how the ring will look when finally polished.
