Nearly in tears reading this, god I feel lucky that I live in a country and world that accepts and celebrates diversity. This was real prejudice and discrimination, and it horrifies me now to think there are countries out there still today.. Russia, South African countries and Middle Eastern countries where this can and have happened. As a community I think the time has passed to use Pride as just a celebration and reason to get drunk and party, I believe we need to unite all UK Prides, as was originally intended as a movement and force for good, to help those in countries where the LGBT communities face these horrific crimes and dangers. Its time to make a stand!
