Nebraska dropped Common Core.. now they really wish they hadnt of done that. Going back to the drudgery is slamming the students. Drop outs are already worse than they were back before 2009 (drop outs were nearly zero when common core was in effect). And the teachers now have to be trained (by law now -- just passed) in Suicide Prevention Counselling.. yes I am not making that up. Teachers need to be ready to talk their students out of suicide. Oklahoma politics dropped Common Core in October -- ignoring the train wreck that what was happening in Nebraska -- and the Dept of Edu, and hundreds of teachers with thousands of Parents sued them. They also continued with Common Core in the schools until the matter is settled in court.
