Exports continue to be a challenge,” Balisacan said. “I think exports have a bigger impact than typhoons. Imports are picking up, which means that’s good for growth in the future in the coming quarters, but exports are still [weak],” he added. Balisacan added the crisis in Zamboanga is also not expected to be a drag for the third-quarter growth. He said if the crisis lasted longer, then there would be some impact. “I’m very confident, like I said, we could exceed 6 percent to 7 percent [in the] full year,” the Neda chief said.
