Need help friends: My BU student health insurance ended yesterday. The health insurance for my new job does not take effect until Nov 1. I am not eligible for COBRA. MA health connector would not begin coverage until Oct 1, and I am not waiting 5 weeks just to have MA connector for one month. I need insurance from now until Nov 1. My new job will later reimburse me for it - what am I supposed to do?? When purchasing an individual plan, are you even allowed to have it for only 2 months?? All the HR people at my new job keep saying to get Cobra or use connector - I am NOT coming from a job with benefits, they do not seem to understand this!!
