Need to do some Christmas shopping, but want make sure that your purchase helps others in need? Then check out the Abataka Artisans at Ibex Hill. The talented Artisans create beautiful handmade jewelry, re-purposed crochet bags and rugs, aprons, pillowcases and so much more. Visitors can see how the items are made and experience first-hand the joy that is Abataka. All of the women are CIDRZ support group members and purchases made help to pay for food, shelter, clothing and school fees. Sales support the Artisans goal to be independent, entrepreneurial women. Abataka is at the CIDRZ campus on Main Street in Ibex hill, in the Max and Marjorie Fisher Foundation Training and Community Centre.
