Need your help guys. I have said before that my advanced VX mount keeps losing its tracking every few minutes. Ive tried the scope balance and everything I could think of and then decided to have a look at the drive gears. If you watch the video ( with the sound turned up ) you can easily see what happens, the gear mesh goes very slack every few minutes and then recovers. Im guessing its a meshing issue between the drive gear and the worm gear. I effectively manage 2 good x 1 minute exposure then 1 slight tracking , 1 bad tracking, 1 slight tracking 2 x good tracking and so the cycle repeats........just as illustrated by the gear video. Anyone any experience or advice?
