Needed: Hands For The Harvest by J. Gerald Harris Jesus left Heaven to come to earth because of the harvest. He knew that everyone needed to hear about the saving grace that only He can provide. While Jesus was on earth, He went from village to village trying to minister to as many people as He could. However, while He was on earth, He could not personally minister to everyone. He needed the help of his disciples to further His mission. Today, as believers, we need to actively be practicing evangelism. When Jesus looked at the lost, He saw how desperate and hopeless they were. When we look at people, we need to view them as Jesus viewed them. When we see someone who is distressed because they are not saved, we need to establish a relationship with them and show them the love of Christ. God can use anyone who makes themselves available to Him. Even if we do not feel like the "perfect" Christians, God can still use us to witness to others. God does not send us out to accomplish a great task without giving us a great power. He gave us a compelling Gospel to proclaim and gave us the Holy Spirit to guide us. Therefore, we have all of the tools we need to proclaim the Gospel to the lost.
