Needs for our Church, Lebanon Area Evangelical Free Church - even if you are outside of Lebanon and wish to help - such as registering your Giant card for New Covenant Christian School... that would be awesome! REMINDER: Household Items. Mary Minor (a former member of LAEFC) is helping to set up a womans homeless shelter in Lebanon. It is WINGS - Women in Need of Gods Shelter. She is currently in need of housekeeping items. If any individual, small group or Bible class would like to pull resources and support this much needed shelter for pregnant women and women with children (no men allowed) with any of the following items, please contact Denise Kotay at (717) 272-6117 or [email protected]. Needed: new twin sheet sets, new or very gently used towel sets, single bed frames, mattress protectors (single bed), Lysol wipes, single bed blankets, kitchen dish towels and dishcloths, pillows, monetary donations to purchase items as needed. NEEDED: A Minute of Your Time to Help NCCS. New Covenant Christian School (NCCS) is currently looking for folks who would be willing to register their Giant Bonus Cards for the Giant A+ School Reward Program. Through this program, NCCS would have the opportunity to earn money that can be used to upgrade their computer lab. If you have a Giant Bonus Card that can be registered this way, please e-mail Chris Thorpe at crmothorpe4@gmail as soon as possible. All of these 11-digit bonus card numbers begin with 480. This program will not negatively affect your gas points, turkey points or Upromise earnings. OPPORTUNITY: Movie and Meal to Support the Lebanon County Coalition to End Homelessness. On Sunday, November 17th at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of the Good Shepherd at 1500 Quentin Road there will be a movie (Samaritan: The Mitch Snyder Story) followed by a spaghetti dinner at 4:30 p.m. to benefit Lebanon HOPES. HOPES shelter for the homeless is in need of volunteers to man the front desk, door and phone, prepare sleeping vouchers and and assist the person in charge as needed (currently the evening charge person is Mary Minor) from 5-8:30 PM daily. The shelter is on 9th Street in Lebanon. You would be volunteering to be a receptionist, but there is opportunity to engage with the folks living in the shelter. If you are interested in helping, please contact LCCM at 272-4400. The prompts will direct you to the correct person. NEEDED: Various Items for Activity Pouches. Stephanie Moyer is looking for various items for kids activity pouches for the Good Samaritan Hospital. She needs marbles, blank CDs and DVDs, and milk,soda or water tops/bottle caps. If you can help her, please e-mail her at stephmoyer@gmail . NEEDED: Spanish Students grades 1-4 1 hour of Spanish at New Covenant Christian School, 8-week Course Wednesdays 2:30 to 3:30.
