Neither the Prime Minister of Bangladesh nor the leader of opposition addressed their views on ending poverty. Instead, one gleefully invites for a dinner whilst the other blatantly refuses until the demand is met. The issue on how poor people in Bangladesh may need help to meet their basic needs was not discussed. Why should you say it shouldnt be? If the government are hypothetically corrupt and poor are lazy, how could global cooperation help when these leaders do not make an effort to unite for a COMMON cause and interest? Of course, we need plans, systems, mutual accountability, and financing mechanisms but who would make the effort to carry them out if we fight over petty issues like - who shalt rule and who shant? Leadership is given to those who do not ask for it! Nonetheless, it is the bravery, fortitude, realism, and sense of responsibility of the impoverished and dis-empowered, for themselves and especially for their children, that give us hope, and spur us on to end extreme poverty in Bangladesh and the key to ending poverty is to create a global network of connections that reach from impoverished communities to the very centers of world power and wealth and back again but so long as we fight for over leadership, we can never dream for poverty-free Bangladesh, let alone materialize our goals or objectives! You put an end to poverty, you end violence, corruption, malice, injustice, etc...and you do not put an end to poverty, rich will get richer and poor gets poorer and youd be sick of this country fighting for food, water, electricity, medical care and other basic needs mankind strives for!
