Nelson the Growling Schnauzer is home, but hes very poorly and very worn out. He is extremely anaemic, amongst other things, and we are waiting on test results that we will receive tomorrow, and another we have to take on Friday. The Vet believes that the tests will reveal he has Addisons Disease, which left untreated, could kill him. Not to mince words here. He is an old man and I have to accept that this is what happens to old dogs. Until I have the final result, and the prognosis, Im going to spend what time I can with him, fussing him up, and keeping him as healthy and as happy as I can. Whatever happens in the next little while, I will always be grateful for him. Despite his cantankerousness, his snappiness, his constant need to chase gardeners, children, pool boys, and the occasional cleaning lady, he has been a constant and loyal companion and I wouldnt change any of it. I truly believe that Schnauzers are the perfect dog, and unlike any other dog breed on the planet. They are our little soul mates and the perfect companion.
