Netflix just added a film called The Strange Color of Your Bodys Tears and it is absolutely incredible. The storyline isnt very deep, but it is not a drama. It is an French horror/thriller, done in the vein of an Italian Giallo Horror, that truly assaults you. It is a visual explosion of insanity, lust, and dread. This is a film that a lot of people will probably hate, and a few will love. The basic premise is a man comes home to find his apartment locked with a chain from the inside, but his wife is missing. The reason most seem to hate it is because it is a visual story. If you pay close attention it can be easy to follow, it is not a complex tale. It just doesnt choose to explain itself. Personally I loved every minute of it, and felt invigorated afterwards.
