Netflixxed (endless series of fine, netflix, ill watch it) Paranoia Liam Hemsworth, Harrison Ford, Richard Dreyfuss, Gary Oldman preface: I thought this was that non-twilight Taylor Lautner movie (turns out thats called Abduction). It is also not Antitrust, with Ryan Phillipe. It is, by all accounts, an original movie cut together from every corporate espionage double cross ever. Rarely have so many people done so well in their roles in a decently logical plotline that failed to excite so often. The double cross isnt bad. The set up is interesting. The two villains (really just outside characters who rope Hemsworth into their bullshit) are played by greats. Everyone does a decent job, but take for-freaking-ever to get from a to b to c and oh hey how are you? did you see how we did b? man, we gotta catch up. oh shit, im supposed to be at d now, then e... oddly frustrating, nearly satisfying movie. Basically serves to remind you that all these people are good, and theres a reason great-cast movies end up at redbox with no explanation. I cant put my finger on what went wrong here, but it failed to *snap*, like a great song covered by your high school garage band. okay, maybe like a really good monkees song covered by a garage band. just makes you want to listen to the beatles instead.
