Never Stop (Wedding Version) Reminded me... At my Grandparents - TopicsExpress

Never Stop (Wedding Version) Reminded me... At my Grandparents house this weekend, I snuck away to get my phone and take a pic, but she got up to take care of a task by the time I made it back... - they had been sitting in their side by side rocking chairs, gently holding hands. Their hands fit together so well; like only time has the capacity to carve. Eyes glancing at one another throughout the days, brief genuine smiles and connection; enjoying each other honestly, deeply. Being particular and selfish and unwilling to budge on the first go round - what did it win me? In that moment by the rocking chairs, it seemed that a late start lends to a shorter span to garner the true affection that stands the tests of time, to have the person who looks at you like youre the only person in the world, even when time has worn away the physical features and strength. 50% of marriages failing... To what sort of future? Seems unlikely that we can all start over late, and find/build that.
