Never in my life,seen a mother,grandmother exploit the fact that their child/grandchild is special needs. NOT to this extent. I mean I guess you receiving SSI plus a handicap sticker(bonus) isnt enough, incentive enough. The fact that one portrays that you love children so much, YET you basically keep everyone to cater to YOUR child,your,your families needs ONLY. Get over it,special needs didnt come out yesterday, AND there are PLENTY of OTHER children that have needs too. Another just because a child may be more Independent than another, doesnt give no one the right for them to receive less attention,services. Furthermore, for parents,teachers,aids,school officials AND even their own family to enable,condone that consistent, POOR behavior. At the end of the day, you can make up whatever excuse you like to excuse your poor behavior, BUT you should concern yourself more,ONLY with your childs needs instead of trying to gain sympathy, notoriety, audience. As much as you talking of someone, remember YOUR own child who cannot barely utter a word. Sad. Tired of people. Sad a child cannot receive a good education and parent feel comfortable enough to leave their baby in their care. Concerned mother Cocoapie Rodriguez
