Never keep large animals in flats! Oh yes, I have been bitten by dogs that knew me, because I was carrying an umbrella, it was raining and the outline and shape changed. Trying to take food from them, or a beloved bone can cause a useless confrontation. The attached is about Pitbulls which are feared by many. Never cross the street when you see a dog, they sense your fear and they think, OOOH a tasty Weakling. Show them that you are in command, a bit like my approach to the Mongrels in workmen on my property in Kandy! :) People are afraid of dogs, I am not and it has nothing to do with the fact that my father and brothers are veterinary surgeons, but we had, at one time, a group of 12 dogs in our home, and they were all brought to be put down for some reason or another, but my Dad did not decapitate any of them, he cured them, sent them out to convents and to owners who loved dogs and in some instances, animals which are allegedly fierce and vicious were given to people with farms and land on which the dog could run and get rid of his energy. The worst was a black Alsatian who had bitten his own owner because he was in a flat.
