New Britain Transportation buses taking science classes from Slade Jr. High, around 1968, to New York City to see the Museum of Science, the Hayden Planetarium, and the Hall of Science at the old 1964 NY Worlds Fair grounds. The two buses on the left were particularly special in New Britain, as they were built in Belgium and were the first ones of their type seen locally. #40 was delivered first and #42 followed about a year later. To the right is a GMC PD-4106 Intercity Coach. I believe thats science teacher Henry Kochunas walking in front of the middle bus.
