New Chapter 1 Alhamdulilah, Id like to introduce the latest installment to my Face Book Auto-Biography! Sorry, this couldnt wait for the book...lol So, for some years now, as you all know, Ive been trying to figure out how best to work for Allah & His Messenger.... Ive tried EVERYTHING! But it hit me about 4 years ago, that the best way to do this is to combine all of the things that I love and are most important to me and create a business that would promote these things. The idea wasnt so much about making money than it was about creating a sustainable way to help people gain closeness to God and love for His Messenger (SAW) So, what are the things that I love??? 1. Allah 2. Prophet Muhammad 3. Shaykh Ahmed Tijani Sharriff 4. Shaykh Ibrahim Niass 5. My Shaykhs,Teachers, Family & Brethren 6. Islam. 7. Sufism. 8. Tariqa Tijaniyya. 9. Peace, Love & Happiness 10. Books These are the things that have totally engulfed my heart. I decided, with the help and encouragement of Shaykh Hassan Cisse, Cheikh Tidiane Cisse, Shaykh Mahy Cisse and the entire Niass Family along with my own family and close friends, to create Fayda Books. The goal and mission of Fayda books is to make accessible to the world (Through the Internet) most of the amazing literature that comes out of the Islamic-Sufi-Tijani-Fayda tradition. I realized that this literature written by our most eminent spiritual leaders has had an extremely profound impact on my life and has helped me understand God in a way that defies explanation. These books by our spiritual Masters are mostly written in Arabic and can only be found in remote parts of the world. Fayda Books endeavors to collect, publish and translate these works and place them in one centralized place for all people to access. Fayda Books is the Amazon of Islam and Tariqa Tijaniyya on the web. The website will go live in approximately 10 days and to inaugurate this Online-Book Store, we will make available for pre-Orders a limited amount of the Newly Translated and Published Tafsir Of Shaykh Ibrahim Niass Called Fi Riyadul Tafsirul Quranul Karim (In The Meadows of Tafsir of The Noble Quran) Volume 1 Shaykh Ibrahim Niass is the only Tijani Shaykh to ever publish a Tafsir of Quran in its entirety. He completed the entire Tafsir of Quran between 10 and 12 times throughout his life, in public. Most of the times he would engage in the Tafsir, it would be in the Wolof language, but 2 or 3 times he did the entire Tafsir in the Arabic language for the benefit of his non-wolof speaking Murids (Students). The very last time he did the entire Tafsir in public, was in the year 1963 and it was recorded on cassette tape. One of his senior students from Mauritania named Shaykh Muhammad Wuld Abdallah al-Jayjuba was present for all of his Tafsir readings and took the great task of transcribing the final recorded Tafsir into book form. It took him over 30 years to edit and check all of the Hadith and sources that Mawlana Shaykh Ibrahim Niass used in the Tafsir. The total number of Hadith that Shaykh Ibrahim mentioned in the quran are over 6000. Shaykh Ibrahim Niass is known to have completed (Khatmul-Quran) recitation of the entire Quran twice a week. In one of his famous poems he beseeches Allah to Make the memorization of Quran his Karama (Miracle). When Shaykh Ibrahim Niass wanted to publicly give Tafsir Quran for the first time, he requested from his older brother to borrow his copy of Tafsir Jalalayn. That request was refused and Shaykh Ibrahim said....I only ask for Tafsir Jalalayn as a formality and Adab In other words, he did not need it. (In those days, the Shuyukh would borrow Tafsir from each-other because it was so rare to have it in a book form) In Reality, Shaykh Ibrahim Niass did not learn Tafsir from anyone besides Allah himself. His brother sent spies to listen to SHaykh Ibrahims Tafsir and report back as to what he was saying since he did not have the Tafsir Jalalayn to help....The spies reported back that what they heard from Shaykh Ibrahim was so amazing that they could not stay away. They said that they heard knowledge that even the Shaykhs father did not have or explain before. They testified that Shaykh Ibrahim was indeed a Master without comparison. This Tafsir is a Jewel that contains the meanings of the Zahir (Outward) and Batin (Inward/Hidden) explanation of the Quran. We Sought Permission from the Eminent leaders of the Tariqa to undergo this work and with the Assistance and Help Of Allah have completed the task. Attached is a portion of the Table of contents of the first Volume. The First Volume Begins with Surah Al-Fatiha and ends at Sura Al-Nisa Verse 23 Tomorrow, I will make available on Fayda Books FaceBook page the Introduction, which was narrated by Shaykh Ibrahims Secretary and Companion, Ustadz Barhama Diop. It is approximately 600 pages and is unlike any Tafsir on the face of the earth! I hope it benefits all who read it and I pray that Allah gives you access to his Divine Self by drawing you closer to him through the understandings that this Tafsir brings.
