David Beckham is at the moment without a club after living the LA Galaxy following their MLS cup victory, for the 2nd consecutive year on December 1st 2012. And he was spotted taking a picture with one chelsea academy player after he watched his son’s try-out practice. Brooklyn, the oldest son of David & Victoria Beckham has been applauded by his father publicly by claiming that Brooklyn had a very ‘fancy footwork’(referring to his technical skills and dribbling ability). By the time Brooklyn was 7 in 2006, the former England captain said, “Brooklyn is the most amazing footballer. He managed 17 keepie-uppies the other day which for a boy his age is incredible. He’s showing great potential and i think he could go all the way. I’d love it if he played for England…I’m as hard on my boys as my dad was. The always ask, ‘Did i play well?’ i’ll say, ‘You did all right, could have done better.’” Chelsea’s academy is proving to be a famed one as many sons’ of former top players like club legend Didier Drogba and Wayne Bridge still attend the academy, even thought they are currently playing in other teams. There are have been many pictures of Brooklyn bending a free- kick like his father online. From what we are hearing through out the media though, he seems he would be a good prospect for chelsea in 10 years time. Also Gordon Ramsey’s son Jack have been in Cobham for the academy try-out with Brooklyn. As, Mirror football reported, both were being cheered and applauded by the people who were watching them in training at Cobham. But, its David’s eldest that showed off some slick skills on the pitch along side Jack Ramsey(his father superstar Gordon Ramsey is ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ star who is close friend with David Beckham). Also some reports claimed the two superstars’ son were close mates and went down to Cobham everyday together at training. Brooklyn has also been on the under-14 team sheet at the LA Galaxy academy while his dad played in California. And David Beckham has said that its hard being the son of the world’s best known footballer. “They have got a great life set up for them. Obviously our boys and little girl are very lucky. But as a parent you worry if they have the hunger you had as a kid.” The Sun reported on January 26, 2013 that his younger brothers, Romeo and Cruz Beckham have also been enrolled in 6 week development program on Friday at Chelsea’s state-of- the-art training ground in Cobham, Surrey. Romeo, ten and Cruz, 7 have played with the chelsea under-11 and under-9 teams respectively on Friday. A chelsea insider said, “You can see there’s a definite pedigree.” David Beckham with his sons (Brooklyn, 13; Romeo, 10; and Cruz, 7) After this news was reveled, Beckham was linked to West Ham and QPR in London since he is well known family man and its impossible to play in other country while his kids are in London. And according to BBC sports ,its officially confirmed that Brooklyn have been enrolled in chelsea academy and joined the under-14s team at chelsea. And its a big possibility that Brooklyn Beckham will sign his first professional contract at chelsea when he will be 18. Signs are that he is a very technical and agile player as revealed by his father’s comment, so lets hope he becomes a big talent in coming years in chelsea’s youth team to eventually join the first team squad after he reaches his 18th birthday.
