***New Craft Beer Alert*** Mikkeller – K:rlek 5.5% American Pale Ale Danish Brewers Mikkeller are one of the most prolific craft brewers in Europe. K:rlek is another concept beer made with five types of hops (Columbus, Centennial, Nelson Sauvin, Citra and Simcoe), oat flakes, wheat and three different malts. pours a cloudy faded orange with an off-white head. Aroma of citrusy tropical fruits (mangos, grapefruits, etc.) and citrus hops. Flavour is quite bizarre for a pale ale – extremely fruity, full of stone fruits, especially peaches, citrus hops and pale biscuity malts. Quite a fuzzy, zesty note at the end, kind of like kiwi. Medium-bodied, more towards the hops.
