New Gardening Bit on Shortwave Radio Eric Sideman, MOFGA’s - TopicsExpress

New Gardening Bit on Shortwave Radio Eric Sideman, MOFGA’s organic crop specialist, is doing a gardening bit on a local shortwave radio station with listeners worldwide. The show, The Next Chapter, is a recorded one-hour weekly program broadcast across the United States and parts of Europe on WBCQ, a shortwave station located in Monticello, Maine. The program airs every Wednesday at 7 p.m. on 7490 kHz and is streamed live on wbcq. The station does not archive the program, so podcasts (minus the opening and closing music) and transcripts are available at radioalexandria.net. During Eric’s portion, aimed at gardeners and farmers in cold climates, he and the host of the show, Roland B. Hunt, discuss timely issues impacting vegetable growing. A recent discussion covered the impact of tilling soil in spring before it is ready. See if you can catch the show!
