New Hastings Crash Video Suggests Foul PlayBy James Daniels on August 5, 2013 12 Michael Hastings Award-winning journalist Michael Hastings’ death in June is getting more suspicious by the day. For the uninitiated, here’s the story: Hastings indicated he was onto a big story and that the FBI was interviewing his close friends and associates hours before his death His car took a very sharp turn into a tree without hitting the brakes The explosion was unusually intense, burning him literally beyond recognition for two days He was cremated against his family’s wishes, among numerous other oddities Thankfully, a mainstream media outlet – San Diego 6 – is investigating the incident and has indicated it suspects foul play. New footage obtained from the LAPD by San Diego 6 shows three distinct explosions in the final moments of Hastings’ life. Oddly enough, the curb only suffered a scratch and the tree the 3,500+ pound car hit at 100 mph only suffered minimal damage. Of important note is San Diego 6 believes an accelerant may have been used, given the intensity of the explosion. If that’s not enough, consider the reporter on the case has indicated she’s been threatened for investigating Hastings’ death. Is she lying, being harassed by losers with nothing better to do or is someone scared she’ll uncover the truth? And, why is the LAPD resisting a media investigation? Shouldn’t it welcome outside help in this case, since a high-profile journalist could have been targeted by any number of foes? It has only given up the information in response to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests thus far. Whatever the case may be, the San Diego 6 reporter is pressing on in conjunction with Judicial Watch and serving FOIA requests on the CIA, DHS, DOJ, NSA and numerous other agencies and officials. Let’s hope she is able to arrive at the truth instead of the official BS we’ve heard thus far.
