New IFA/VTD Registrations Facts The new registrations for 2015 began with all travel teams, leagues, umpires background checks and tournament directors on August 1, 2014. All of these registrations will expire on August 31, 2015. We, like all of the other organizations also changing to this Fall/Summer format, believe that many common problems we have seen with a single registration being split into 2 different championship seasons will become much easier to mitigate and resolve in the future. However, because a championship season uses a database to monitor teams, tournaments, registrations and points it is physically impossible to have two (2) databases working at the same time. Example, if we were to roll out a 2015 database on September 1st, those teams would only be allowed to play in tournaments posted as 2015 tournaments. New 2015 tournaments would not be accessible to 2014 teams that were promised a January – December registration earlier in the year. For these, and other, reasons we have worked with our database provider to blend the 2014 registrations (January – July. 2014) and our new 2015 registrations (August – December, 2014) into a single registration through December 31 of this year. Travel teams, leagues, umpires background checks and tournament directors that register after August 1, 2014 will note a 2014 “DATE” on registrations and insurances. This is to allow all of our registrants a chance to play through December as “ONE” and not two (2) databases. On January 1, 2015 all of our customers purchasing a service after August 1, 2014 with automatically be rolled over to a 2015 registration. All of the Fall activities will be noted on your team pages after the first of the year. Additionally, teams that play in the Fall with an age eligible team will have their information rolled over to their new 2015 registration, when they register.
