New Job Businees and Banqueting Manager - Lancashire - JLMBB Industry: Hospitality and Catering Job Type: Permanent Location: Lancashire, England Salary: £24500 - £25000 per annum Business & Banqueting Event Manager- An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Business & Banqueting Department for an Event Manager within a 5 star conference and banqueting venue on the Fylde coast. The successful candidate will: Work closely with both the administration and operational Business and Banqueting teams to maintain the highest quality service by actively training and developing them. They will also assist in developing and delivering the departments marketing strategies. The position is full time: 5/7 days, 45 hours per week. Full flexibility to work early mornings, evenings and weekends is required to meet the operational needs of the business. This is a live out role. Key duties of the role will include: *A significant hands-on operational element. *Working to develop our Food & Beverage standards, constantly striving to improve the service offered. *Encouraging a 5* culture throughout our Business and Banqueting operation. *The development of staff from the recruitment stage through mentoring and training to efficiently and effectively maintain and build upon our existing high standards in the business. *The support and development of the team to learn creative and effective up selling skills. *Working alongside the Business and Banqueting Manager to control and manage the Departments Profit & Loss accounts and the related costs. *Monitoring and controlling labour costs & operating expenses. *Monitoring and maintaining all company Food Safety and Health & Safety policies and procedures to agreed standards. *The planning and completion of Staff performance reviews. *Ensuring clear, concise and accurate financial information is produced for both guest billing, company accounts and stock reconciliation. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate: *Minimum of two years experience of Operational management within a minimum four star property. *Evidence of significantly contributing towards the financial success of the business including the management of the Profit and Loss accounts. *Relevant experience in the recruitment, training and management of staff for an Events Operation. *Relevant experience of Health & Safety and Food Safety management. Ideally with a recognised qualification. *Meticulous attention to detail in all operational areas *Creative Flair & Imagination *Efficient administration, organisational and time management skills. *Calm, efficient and reliable under pressure *Excellent interpersonal and communication skills *High standards of personal presentation.
