Our client is recognized globally as a market leader in the provision of highest quality and efficient Materials Handling and sortation solutions for a diverse range of applications, and as a result of a recent expansion exercise and an ongoing planned programme of continuous strategic growth, an urgent need has arisen to recruit an enthusiastic and highly capable Field Service Controller to coordinate the activities of a busy and successful field service team. Based in Northampton, the successful candidate will demonstrate a dynamic and articulate communication style and will support the Field Operations Department with the day to day control of the field service team, generating revenue through regular customer visits and providing extensive input to the quotation process, whilst being committed to delivering the highest levels of quality customer service and satisfaction at all times. The successful candidate will raise jobs on the ERP system and allocate jobs to engineers accordingly on both a planned and reactive basis, identifying and ordering parts where necessary and liaising with customers regarding purchase order details and the ETA of their field engineer. Whilst responsible for providing advice and guidance to engineers and customers, you will additionally generate revenue through requests for quotations as well as becoming proactive in the identification of additional maintenance and upgrade business, and will develop a risk assessment service for customers currently operating old equipment and software that may become unreliable or unsupported over time. Working in rotation with other service controllers to facilitate regular customer site visits and regularly performing Method Statement and Risk Assessments, you will additionally conduct engineer appraisals and manage planned holidays as well as identifying and arranging for engineer training to ensure the ongoing development of the team. Complying with all Health and Safety Requirements, you will primarily be tasked with the combination of managing the field service team providing quotations and performing the regular site visits although other activities such as supplier assessment and reviewing maintenance routines and practices will additionally be undertaken.
