As a result of continued success and a planned programme of continuous improvement and strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit two dynamic, energetic, motivational and highly experienced General Managers with an agricultural background to complement their established and successful team in order to both manage and develop the customer and business focus of the department as well as developing a high performance management team. This is a business critical position that will suit only the most dynamic, vibrant and driven of General Managers - as the successful candidates will play a key role in the clients leadership team and will develop and maintain robust and proactive relationships with both service providers and customers (internal as well as external) whilst driving and coordinating the continuous improvement strategy. Working as part of a divisional leadership team tasked with supporting the strategic opportunities that will deliver growth in revenue, profit and working capital measures for this agricultural business, you will engage the management team in aligning the business to deliver desired strategic and financial goals using your dynamic motivational and influencing skills, operating as the public face of the business to future business partners as well as being actively involved in valuable business development, with a proactive business development or sales consultancy background proving distinctly advantageous. With full P&L responsibility, you will implement agreed strategies and ensure both development and delivery against agreed budgets through a driven product focusses approach, ensuring the 3 year growth plan is achieved whilst building positive relationships with senior level customers and suppliers. Leading a dynamic team committed to agreed objectives and regularly conducting performance reviews, you will ensure opportunities for business development through both winning and extending long term contracts are created and proactively pursed to support long term succession strategies, whilst developing the team and organizational structure and resources to ensure the achievement of objectives. With your unerring energy and ability to develop and sustain a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the team as well as encouraging involvement, open communication and contributions by colleagues at every opportunity, you will also encourage collaboration with other divisions of the Group both nationally and internationally and both recognise and reward individual performance fairly through the relevant reward mechanisms available. With exhaustive commercial management abilities and a proven successful record of budgetary management of more than £1m, you will possess exceptional negotiation and decision making skills with impressive strategic development abilities and the ability to motivate and positively influence others. You will be flexible to travel internationally where required and will essentially possess a full UK driving licence, with awareness of the Agriculture supply chain and previous service sales or sales consultancy experience proving distinctly advantageous.
