New Job IT Support Administrator - 11386 Industry: IT Job Type: Permanent Location: Tunbridge Wells, England Salary: £19000 - £26000 per annum Our client, based in Tunbridge Wells, is looking for an IT Support Administrator to join their team. They are a busy, constantly growing, travel company with ever changing demands. This is an exciting position which will give you the opportunity to expand and grow your skills, provide training and improving your skill set, whilst working within a forward thinking team. The successful candidate will have good computer skills and some experience in server administration, to provide front line technical support to around 60 users across 2 sites. You will be reporting directly to the Technical Director, and will be involved in developing and implementing new IT strategies, particularly as they embrace Cloud technologies and virtualisation. As the FPOC in desktop and network based technical support, you will be crucial to delivering: anti-virus services, resolving printer issues, MS Office, email and internet/connectivity issues and responsible for escalating tasks with external providers. You will monitor and respond to all IT support requests via an internal ticketing system, telephone and email, log all support issues in the ticketing system - ensuring all tickets are 100% up to date at all times. As part of your role, you will be providing remote support using tools such as TeamViewer, administering new starter and staff leaver processes, managing IT support with emphasis on increasing end-user up time, performing routine health and operational checks, as appropriate, providing administrative support in the management of relevant software and hardware procurement and licences, ensuring that relevant documentation is up to date, applying patches/updates to servers, desktops and services using tools such as Windows Server Update Services, providing first line support of their telephone systems. You will also be responsible for maintaining high levels of confidentiality and information security, in compliance with the companys relevant policies and procedures, keeping anti-virus definitions up to date, completing adequate back-ups of systems, and data via digital and tape backup processes, assisting with business continuity/disaster recovery planning and testing, using change control procedures to ensure changes are controlled and documented thoroughly. The ideal candidate will have degree level education (Computer Science or equivalent) or relevant experience. Also, a good working knowledge and experience of Windows Server 2003, 2008. VMware, Windows Server Update Services, MS Group policy, Anti-virus and security, Exchange 2007, Firewalls/VPN tunnels/Routers, Backup and restore procedures. Active directory. Excellent knowledge of MS Office desktop products TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, WAN,VoIP The hours are 8.30am - 5.30pm, Monday - Friday. Your own transport is required.
