New Job Installations Engineer - MR/IEng Industry: Engineering Job Type: Permanent Location: England Salary: £35000 - £60000 per annum + Overtime, expenses, healthcare, pension This is an exceptional opportunity to join a market leading industrial plant and equipment manufacturer working within the food production sector. This is a field based role with extensive travel. As such your home location is not important but should be within Europe and accessible to a main airport hub. The majority of equipment is custom built to suit the unique requirements of food processors. The companys engineers have an unrivalled level of experience across all sectors such as bakery, dairy, seafood, prepared meals and meat / poultry. The main purpose of the role is to carry out Installation supervision, basic commissioning, service and repairs on industrial equipment, whilst at all times providing exceptional customer service, Responsible to: Contracts Manager The job holder will have responsibility for: *Carry out Installation and maintenance work and professionally complete all necessary paperwork. *Installation supervision of specialist food processing equipment. *Control of sub contract staff on site. *Carrying out basic commissioning of the installed equipment *Report all health and safety issues directly to line manager *Help with training and the advancement of less experienced engineers. *To assist management in identifying business opportunities. *To act in a professional, courteous and businesslike manner at all times to enhance the reputation and presence of the company in the market place. This role requires a willingness to travel. The majority of equipment is exported. The business is supported by experienced representative offices located around the world. Equipment has been installed in over 50 countries to date. The successful applicant will have a sound mechanical and electrical knowledge, and have experience of mechanical handling equipment. The preferred job holder will match the following requirements: *Good practical skills and good hand skills *Ability to follow technical drawings, building plans, and other instructions *Ability to work carefully, methodically and safely *Ability to measure accurately *A head for heights and be prepared to work in all sorts of weather *Willing to work in confined spaces *Presentable with a pleasant manner *Good written and verbal communication skills *Ability to adapt to change *Good problem solving skills *A willingness to work unsocial hours when the job demands it.
