An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Junior Developer C# / SQL to join our next generation core framework team in Cambridge; the successful Junior Developer C# / SQL will be involved in all stages of the development lifecycle from analysis/specification, development through to testing and support. Key Accountabilities The development, maintenance and enhancement of new and next generation Company solutions and core frameworks. Working with clients and the development teams to improve the products. Working with existing developers and testers across the entire Group on collaborative projects. Involvement in the whole life cycle of software development. Help promote next generation technology and solutions across the Group. Experience Have a strong interest in software development within the financial services industry. You will be highly motivated with a professional approach to work. Junior Developer C# / SQL - Essential Skills Knowledge and Experience of C# and SQL. Knowledge of relational database architecture and design Ability to research technical know-how in order to meet requirements Ability to code software according to published standards and design guidelines Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents. Desirable Skills: Experience of JavaScript and common libraries, e.g. jQuery and Knockoutjs. Experience of Functional programming, preferably in F#. Experience of working in Agile/Scrum environment. Experience of practicing test driven development. Person Specification: Creative and innovative with a passion for new technology. Flexible attitude, ability to perform under pressure and be able to multi-task to tight deadlines A commitment to quality and a thorough approach to the work. Ability to work well within a team.
