New Job Production Planner - RMPPSO Industry: Manufacturing and Production Job Type: Permanent Location: Gloucestershire, England Salary: £30000 - £45000 per annum My client; a successful Engineering company based in Gloucestershire are offering an exciting position for a Production Planner to join the team. They offer R&D and manufacturing and test facilities and are a leader in their field. As Production Planner you will be tasked to set up and maintain the sales and operations planning process and ensure the plan is achievable. The role of Production planner will include (but not limited to): *Design, development and manage the sales and operations planning process. *Work with sales, supply chain and operations teams to ensure resources are available and utilised fully. *Work with sales, supply chain and operations team to maintain an achievable build and ship plan. *Identify customer commitment dates based on materials and capacity constraints using ERP. *Contribute to financial planning process via rough cut capacity planning and based on sales, contract, engineering and supply chain information. *Identify crucial issues and work with sales, supply chain and operations teams to mitigate impact. *Work with the management team to improve the planning process. *Organise and run sales and operations planning meetings. *Carry out all work practices in line with the company health and safety policy. *Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures. We are looking for a Production Planner who ideally has the following skills: *HND or equivalent in relevant engineering subject. *Proven experience in Production Planner or schedulers ole within Manufacturing/Engineering. *Experience of planning using SAP. *Experience working in low volume project based environment. *Excellent presenting skills. *Strong negotiation skills. *Good working knowledge of excel and MS office. *Someone who is self-motivated and a self-starter. *Must be a proactive team player, with a positive can do attitude. *Ability to work well under pressure and organised. *Good team player and able to work without supervision.
