New Job Project Engineer/Draughtsman - 893080 Industry: Engineering Job Type: Permanent Location: Swansea, Wales Salary: £26000 - £30000 per annum We are working with a highly successful Manufacturing client in the Swansea area who are looking to add additional talent to their team. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly expanding company and become an integral part of its highly successful and experienced engineering team. The company are a manufacturer of bespoke products for the gas, petrochemical and other major industries supplying customers across the world. The role involves taking control of highly demanding projects from order to completion. As Project Engineer/Draughtsman you will be responsible for: Interpreting customer design requirements from data sheets, drawings and specifications. Ensuring the project conforms to international design codes and customer specifications. Preparing detailed fabrication drawings using AutoCAD software. Preparing quality control documentation for workshop personnel. Allocation of purchase orders for materials and sub-contractor services. Monitor project progress to ensure customer delivery dates are met. Liaising with customers, inspectors and third party personnel, covering off any issues that may arise. Working in conjunction with office engineering staff and workshop supervisors. The successful candidate will: Be educated to a minimum of HNC level in a Mechanical Engineering discipline Have relevant experience of controlling engineering projects. Be a competent user of 2D AutoCAD software along with Microsoft Office software. A highly motivated individual and possess strong communication, organisational and multitasking skills. Highly desirable skills/knowledge: Experienced working with Heat Exchange products, Pressure Vessels or similar products. Knowledge of ASME, PED 97/23/EC and BE EN design codes. The company has a highly-motivated team consisting of Project Managers, Engineers and Supervisors that lead a workforce of directly employed, skilled Craftsmen (M/F) and they invest heavily in training to ensure that all the team participate in regular programmes to maintain and update their skills in accordance with industry standards.
