New Job Quality Assurance Analyst - BBBH112260 Industry: IT Job Type: Permanent Location: Maitland, Florida We are looking for a Quality Assurance analyst that excels at creating enterprise-level end-to-end test plans, executing and managing all activities in the plans and relishes ensuring that all objectives are met and that our SaaS solutions work as expected. He or she should thrive on discovering defects, squashing bugs and thinking outside-of-the-box. We need someone who loves influencing change and championing quality and can be comfortable working in teams and motivating others to be highly productive. Role Priorities: Documentation Analysis Problem Resolution Responsibilities Ensure that every phase and feature of the software solution is tested and that any potential issue is identified and fixed before the product goes live. Defines, develops, implements and maintains quality assurance practices and methodology, test plans, test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated Deploys automated test scripts using automation software like QuickTest Professional, Rational Functional Tester, Selenium, SilkTest and VisualStudio Test Professional; make determinations as to what portion of the overall test will benefit from automation Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables Backend database testing in Microsoft SQL Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan Coordinate cross-functional groups to test, evaluate and validate new functions and applications and identify issues in software, services, usability, logic and/or purpose Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts Execute and evaluate manual and/or automated test cases and black box testing and report test results Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes Work flexible schedules to accommodate project deadlines and occasional travel (0-15% Perform other duties as assigned by management. Essential Skills and Experience Bachelors degree with computer science major preferred 3+ years of relevant experience in previous QA position Experience in managing defect tracking and reporting, and deploying test automation tools Strong skills in manual software testing, including black box and white box testing methodologies Experience in database testing in Microsoft SQL Server or other enterprise RDMS environments (e.g., Oracle) including designing and manipulating test data, and configuration and management of import/export jobs Experience with SQL DML (including select, update, delete, join type queries) Creative solving of technical problems Self-starter with strong time management and organizational skills Ability to build a team and processes based on industry best practices Ability to understand and create clear, concise detail-oriented test plans/cases/scripts from specifications or verbal communications Extra Credit Experience with JavaScript testing frameworks a plus
