New Job Supply Chain/Purchasing Manager - 5636SC Industry: Purchasing and Procurement Job Type: Permanent Location: Sheffield, England Salary: £40000 - £45000 per annum We are seeking a high calibre Supply Chain/Purchasing Manager who can add immediate value and take ownership for their own success. The successful candidate will be comfortable in an environment where autonomy and a high degree of visibility is the norm. The position will have responsibility for purchasing, supplier development, logistics, warehouse operations and supply chain development as well as key input to the overall strategy of the Company The Supply Chain Manager will *Ensure that optimum true cost` is being achieved and ensure that suppliers across all materials and sub contract processes are adding maximum value to the business. *Rationalise non core suppliers to ensure strategic value is being added and lessen reactive buying. *Develop processes and procedures that facilitate the efficient procurement of goods and services for the business needs *Provide a commercial procurement function that delivers competitive advantage and bottom line benefit. *Implement key performance metrics to ensure on time in full and compliance objectives are being met. *Strategically and operationally manage the purchasing function creating best in class` processes and procedures thus delivering competitive advantage and business benefit. Key Attributes *Can demonstrate proven ability in: oLeading, Motivating, Achieving Results; oAnalytical Thinking and Decision Making. *Measured approach to decision making, highly competent in Supplier Selection and Evaluation. *Can demonstrate proven ability in the areas of: Teamwork; Leadership; Managing Resources; People Development. *Can demonstrate proven ability in the areas of: Dealing with Change; Strategic Awareness; Business and Commercial Awareness; Improvement and Innovation. *Can demonstrate a high level of achievement in the areas of: Communication; Negotiation, Best Practice.
