New Lynn Food Night Market starting this week The Auckland Council have provided us the following details for the New Lynn Food Night Market: Night markets at New Lynn The markets are setting up as part of Whau Local Board’s efforts to attract people into the town centre, and celebrate Auckland’s diverse cultures and communities. You’ll find them at New Lynn Community Centre in Totara Avenue on Thursday evenings from 5.30pm to 9pm until the week before Christmas. Experience a full programme of entertainment, authentic street food and food produce stalls, and absorb the rich sights, sounds and aromas of a market where the fresh food is made and sold by local providers. “The markets will be an assault on the senses, recreating the cuisine, music and traditions of many different cultures,” says Whau Local Board’s events committee chair Jack Weir. “We are excited to work with local businesses and communities to bring this new experience to New Lynn.”
